"Memorable in every way!!!"
When our party of 6 adults walked through the front door of our Lund house for the first time, we were awestruck! It was as if the house was built in the treetops perched on the ocean shore! And it was even more amazing as we took in the workmanship of the home. The Shores beautiful home is everything a person could ask for in a vacation getaway! Whether enjoying sunsets from the spacious deck or at the picnic table tucked in the woods, kayaking in the afternoon sunshine from our own beach and discovering basking seals and sea lions on the cliff's rocky edge, cooking meals in the gracious and well-appointed kitchen, taking morning walks into Lund for lattes and yummy pastries at Nancy's Bakery, excursions to Savary Island or into Desolation Sound, or just hanging out with good company at the Shore's lovely home, our vacation was a truly delightful and memorable experience. The Shores were helpful and responsive. When we were short one adult life jacket, they immediately provided a contact for getting one. We would stay at Shores by Lund in a heartbeat and would highly recommend this property. Thank you, Shore family, for sharing your home with us.

“Awesome.”
We had a fabulous trip! House was very comfortable and nice. Views were spectacular. Ocean breeze and sounds were amazing. LOVED the outdoor shower, and the used every day. Owner is very pleasant, helpful and responsive. Private beach/bay is wonderful with oysters, mussels, starfish crabs, jelly fish, and more. Kayaking was epic. Savary Island was MAGICAL! Christine at Teracentric in Lund was very helpful with arranging guided tours. With a hot tub, this place would be perfect. Nevertheless, we would HIGHLY recommend a stay here.

“The heart of the earth.”
Shores at Lund exceeds the 5 star rating. My boys and I have been traveling to Lund and Desolation Sound for years, this year the boys wanted to share this beautiful private place with their childhood friends. Located perfectly in the heart of the earth...we were delighted when we found this extraordinary home over looking it's own bay with world class views! We were 12 adventure travellers and 3 well trained dogs (they traveled in kayaks with us too :) )and we all fit with comfort in the house. The private beach is perfect - made for a great launching off point for our kayaks. We were super fortunate to paddle with the Orca family and their baby...what a treat. The house is incredible, tons of space, lovely wood finish and everything is new and clean! The Shores made the trip super easy, so that we never had to worry about a thing with the property. We'll keep coming back again and again! Fantastic experience had by us all!!

“Great accommodation in a stunning location.”
This was the perfect place to bring our friends from the UK with their 3 young children. There was plenty of space for all 4 kids and 4 adults. The views from the decks were amazing. The hammocks on the lower deck were very popular. We spent plenty of time on the water using the kayaks. Christine at Teracentric in Lund was very helpful with arranging a guided paddle and a zodiac trip into Desolation Sound. The owners were very helpful and we would highly recommend a stay here.

“Amazing!”
Shores at Lund was a perfect family getaway for my family, my brother's family and my parents. There was a ton of space so we could all hang out together easily, or retreat to our own spaces for some family downtime. Highlights were spending time on the huge outdoor decks (playing charades into the sunset!), the outdoor shower, use of the kayaks (as I also brought my paddleboard), quick walk to Nancy's Bakery, and proximity to Savary Island. I had never been to that area of the Sunshine Coast and this was an incredible introduction!

“Palatial wood cabin.”
We were imagining a little cottage in the forest. We found ourselves in an exquisite home, fully equipped with every convenience and enviable luxury, with our own beach. There are three kayaks for exploring the islands nearby. We took a few hours hike through glorious forest to arrive at an almost endless freshwater lake. We enjoyed sightings of fantastic birdlife and marine and land mammals. Christine in the village 10 minute walk away took us on an all-day tour by zodiac into the vast expanse of Desolation Sound, where we enjoyed a yummy picnic lunch on a beautiful beach in the middle of a turquoise ocean paradise.
We had no car and this presented no problem — took a taxi from the town of Powell River, and the people at the fantastic restaurant Laughing Oyster picked us up and dropped us off, and we enjoyed the tiny village atmosphere of Lund. Mostly, however, we didn't want to go anywhere, because of the beauty of the house itself, crafted with understated elegance and romantic ambience, boasting decks with sea views, outdoor shower, facilities for water activities, and the highest quality kitchen equipment and crockery. Ideal for a honeymoon couple or a large family. We were two people on honeymoon, and didn't feel like we were in the large house that it is, because the downstairs rooms are self-contained, but those additional rooms are valuable if many beds needed.
The Shores' house is a home that one would feel comfortable living in permanently, and well worth making it the primary destination even if you're traveling right across the world to get to it, as we did.

“It truly is a gem.”
We just wanted to thank you both for all the back and forth leading up to and for a terrific stay at your place. Everything ran very smoothly for our entire trip. We had a great time exploring the beach, Lund and Savary, and created some great bonding moments with our little ones away from the usual routines at home. Your property and house are beautiful and comfortable - we had the most amazing full moon view (in addition to the rest of the sunset views) one of the evenings, which will be memorable and even managed to spot a few starfish. I’m sure we’ll be back and hope to return to Lund and your place - and will be letting our friends know as well. It truly is a gem, not too far but far enough to feel like you’re away from it all.

“Perfect for the whole family!”
We had a fabulous stay at his stunning house over March break. One of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed. The house is magnificent, amazing views of the ocean from huge windows in every room, private beach, fun areas for kids to play inside and out, wildlife to lookout for including sea otters. Really easy access for our elderly grandparents, spacious, clean and everything you could need for your stay in any season of the year. Easy stroll around the headland, or by road to Lund village for fresh baked goods, or dinner. A short drive to Powell River too. Very helpful owners, able to answers questions quickly. We will definitely be back!

"It doesn’t get better than that!"
We have been renting properties, either on one of the islands, or on the mainland coast, every summer for over 15 years, and I have to say your home comes at the top of the list. First and foremost it was a home, and not just a rental where the owner off-loads stuff they are not using any more! We were incredibly lucky with the weather, day after day of flat seas and hot sunshine, and having the boat outside the house made it easy for trips including an overnight for our kids and their two boys. There was something for everyone (ages 14 to 81), and on our last evening the boys were water ski ing at 9 p.m. It doesn't get much better than that!

"A perfect location for a 3 generation family holiday"
We have just spent a fantastic vacation at this property close to Lund. The living area is very spacious, with plenty of glass so that the view to Savary and Hornby Islands can be enjoyed at all times. It was very warm during our visit, but the house was always cool to return to. We found the furnishings of high standard and the kitchen was well equipped with china, cutlery and saucepans of very high quality. The master bath could fit two and it was fun to soakwhile enjoying the view through the 'open wall' into the bedroom and beyond. We had our own boat, plus a Boston Whaler, but there were two kayaks at our disposal which we also made use of, and our prawn traps were very successful. We picked oysters from the beach, and it was just a short stroll into Lund for baked goods from Nancy's bakery. The visit to the Farmers Market in Powell River was very productive, and we enjoyed dinner at the Laughing Oyster. Grandad, at 81, picked enough blackberries to make jam, and we all enjoyed sitting on the very spacious deck playing cards late into the evening.
Paul was extremely helpful, with immediate replies to all our queries, and we found his instructions easy to follow.
We are hoping to return next year.

“Slice of heaven on the Sunshine Coast.”
If you’re looking for a no-comfort-spared north Sunshine Coast getaway, The Shores at Lund is an excellent place to go. The house is modern and beautiful. The view is spectacular - Those sunsets! While only a short 10-15 min walk to the cute Lund Harbour, the property is incredibly quiet and secluded on a very private little bay. The house comes with sea kayaks and we rented more from a convenient, super-friendly outfitter (Terracentric) in town. We were blessed with blue skies and hot temperatures during our week. Launching directly from the property we toured the nearby Copeland Islands and took 2 trips over to Savary Island (1 day just wasn’t enough). Confident paddlers could get there in less than an hour. With some jr. paddlers (10 years old) in our group, we made South Beach in about 2 hours (followed the entire way by a curious harbour seal)... or heck, just take the hourly water taxi. BTW everything you hear about the spectacular beauty of beaches on Savary?... all true. If you have the option of staying on Savary, Quadra or Cortes, consider the conveniences of being on the mainland - immediate access to nearby restaurants and hikes, and only 1/2 hr drive to Powell River for groceries, wine and beer, inflatable rubber rafts, and more restaurants. We would love to stay again and take some time to explore Desolation Sound and the islands to the north... and go back to Savary of course.

“Amazing as it sounds.”
We are a group of 8 kayakers who had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful home over the May long weekend. It was everything we had hoped for and more. It is perfectly located for a paddle to Savary Island and we launched our kayaks right from the private beach. The next day we were lucky enough to have perfect conditions to paddle to the Copeland Islands, which ended up being a 6 hour day, but well worth it. The seals, eagles, sea lions, and the scenery were magical. All 8 of us were very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped with everything we could possibly need. The outdoor shower that made the long day of paddling well worth it. It is very close to Powell River for groceries and things and yet isolated enough for privacy. We were able to do some hiking in the area, and they have many trails to choose from and well marked. We did try the local bakery and the Laughing Oyster restaurant, and found them both with great food. Paul was more than helpful from the initial inquiry and even after to make sure all went well. I would highly recommend this rental and hope to have the pleasure of staying there again.

"Great family getaway"
The Shores at Lund was our home away from home for a week. This is a very spacious and beautiful home with plenty of room for our kids and grandkids. The views from the deck are spectacular! We had a sunny week on the Sunshine Coast with amazing sunsets. The home is very well equipped and grandkid friendly. With our boat on the Shores’ private buoy in the bay in front, the neighboring islands and Desolation Sound are all within easy reach. We visited the beautiful beaches of Savary Island. Spend an afternoon in Tenedos Bay and swam in Unwin Lake. Cruised over to Cortez on Friday to visit the farmers market at Manson Landing and played on the beach of the warm water lagoon. We did plenty of fishing and caught our best Chinook salmon right around the corner of the bay. We trapped crabs and prawns of Savary and had a seafood feast just about every day. Nancy’s Bakery scones and cinnamon buns are delicious.
All in all a wonderful vacation with lasting memories. Thank you to the Shores for sharing their home.
