Arbutus Reflections

Arbutus trees are beautiful, mysterious, and rare, only growing within a few hundred yards of ocean salt water in a few regions of the world. In Canada, they grow along the Pacific coast, though only as far north as roughly half way up the coast of British Columbia. Here they are protected and their wood can only be utilized if they die of natural causes.

On our property in Lund, we have a few deceased trees that Paul is gradually turning into art pieces. An 18" x 30" sample piece ($595) is shown here, and custom pieces can be commissioned.
